Use of the Online Ticket Shop
When using the online ticket shop, the data that you provide when ordering an admission ticket for a trade fair will be collected and processed. This data is stored and processed in order to create the admission ticket for the selected trade fair event and to enable your access to the trade fair, as well as, if applicable, to invoice you for the ticket price and to process the payment of the ticket price. The legal basis for this is the necessity of this data processing for the fulfillment of the contract concluded with you for the purchase of a visitor ticket for trade fair entry (Art 6 para 1 lit b GDPR).
Newsletter, Statistics
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter when purchasing an online ticket or when redeeming a voucher code. For this purpose, we require your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided information about specific trade fairs. You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. . We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter distribution.
The data you provide when using the online ticket shop is also used to create statistics in order to obtain feedback on the events and services of Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG with regard to optimizing their respective offerings. In addition, your data is processed for direct advertising of events and related offers of Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG as well as for information about products and services. Direct advertising is primarily carried out by sending advertising and information newsletters via email (“email newsletter”). In this context, Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG records whether the respective email newsletter is properly delivered to your inbox server, whether you open the delivered email newsletter, and whether and which content of the email newsletter you click on. Ticket Validation / Trade Fair Visit
Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG records whether issued admission tickets are validated on site in the trade fair premises, i.e. whether the holder of a visitor ticket purchased via the online ticket shop has actually attended the respective trade fair. The collection and processing of this data serves the purpose of preventing unauthorized transfer and misuse of tickets purchased through the online ticket shop. In connection with the use of a voucher code (100% discount = free ticket), the information as to whether a redemption was actually followed by a trade fair visit also serves the purpose of invoicing the admission tickets for invited visitors to the inviting exhibitor. The legal basis for this data processing is the legitimate interest of Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG within the meaning of Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR to ensure that individuals do not gain unauthorized access to their events without a lawfully acquired visitor ticket and, in connection with the use of voucher codes, to ensure that exhibitors who invite their customers to attend a trade fair free of charge can be invoiced accordingly for the issued admission tickets.
Press Photography & Filming
Press photos and videos are regularly taken at trade fairs and events organized by Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG. These document the trade fair activities and may therefore also show visitors of the respective trade fair or event. It cannot be ruled out that you may be visible in individual press photos. If you are identifiable in the respective recording, the creation and further use of the respective press photo generally constitutes the processing of personal data within the meaning of Art 4 (1) GDPR. The storage and processing of this data is carried out exclusively for internal archiving purposes for documentation and to enable reporting about the respective trade fair or event. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in producing press photos and using them for their intended purpose (Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR).

Withdrawal of Consent to Data Processing
If the legal basis for data processing by Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG is your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time informally by letter or by email to office@cmw.at
. Your withdrawal results in the inadmissibility of further processing of your data for the processing purposes covered by the consent. The lawfulness of the processing of your data carried out on the basis of your consent until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Necessity of Providing Data
In the online forms to be completed in the online ticket shop, some input fields are marked as “mandatory fields”. Providing the data requested in these mandatory fields is necessary in order for an admission ticket (a “visitor ticket”) for the trade fair you selected to be issued to you. Otherwise, there is no obligation to provide your data.

If you choose the payment method “Sofortüberweisung” when paying for your visitor ticket, the details about the product you selected (visitor ticket) will be forwarded to the payment service provider HOBEX AG

Recipients when Using a Voucher Code
If you register as a trade fair visitor after entering a voucher code that you received from an exhibitor, the information about the time of your ticket purchase using the voucher code as well as the data (name, email address, ...) that you subsequently provide in the online ticket shop will be passed on to the respective exhibitor for their own use.

Storage Duration
The storage of the data processed by Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG for advertising purposes/newsletters will continue until you object to the further processing of your data for this purpose. The data processed in connection with the sending of newsletters will be stored until you unsubscribe from the email newsletter. Press photos and thus – insofar as you are identifiable in them – your personal data will be stored indefinitely for documentation and archiving purposes. Otherwise, your data will be stored for as long as necessary for the respective processing purposes. In addition, data will be stored to the extent and for as long as the retention of your processed data is necessary to safeguard legal interests (e.g. until the expiry of contractually agreed or statutory warranty or limitation periods) or with regard to statutory retention obligations, in particular according to § 132 BAO. If further processing takes place for statistical purposes, the respective data will only be reused in anonymized form.
Rights of Data Subjects
You have the right to obtain information from Messen CMW Peter Lindpointner GmbH & Co KG about the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art 15 GDPR and the right to rectification in accordance with Art 16 GDPR.
